The search for more effective treatments for mesothelioma is ongoing. There is no cure for mesothelioma. Standard applications that attempt to slow the progression of this disease are:

Peritoneal lining of the stomach actually has two layers on one side (visceral) layer adjacent to the abdominal organs and the outer (parietal) layer of the abdominal wall.
