Heat stroke is a serious and potentially fatal form of disease caused by heat. Body temperature rises to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) or more and you experience neurological changes, such as mental confusion or unconsciousness.
At these high temperatures, body proteins and the membranes that cover the body’s cells, especially in the brain, begin to break down and malfunction.
